The Medical Records Specialist will be responsible for processing information for the Medical Home initiative, retrieving records from all treatment areas, and prepping and scanning medical records into the electronic medical record (EMR).

About the Role:

  • Perform various HIM functions and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process information for the Medical Home initiative to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Retrieve records from all treatment areas, including patient charts and medical files.
  • Prep and scan medical records into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in medical records or health information management.
  • American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) credentialed, preferred.
