Job Title: Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Freightliner Northwest is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting on-road and customer on-site maintenance services by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
  • Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
  • Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
  • Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
  • Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck.
Qualifications:
  • Heavy equipment dealership experience is helpful in this job role; two years or more preferred.
  • Three years of actual truck repair experience needed.
  • Bring your strong mechanical aptitude, team player mentality, and belief in safety first to Team Freightliner Northwest.
Work Environment:

Primarily outdoor work. High noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Coveralls, ear, and eye protection provided.
