    Roessel Joy is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will report to the CFO and play a crucial part in our 2-person payroll team. Your primary responsibility will be to process in-house payroll using iVision software, cut checks, and process bi-weekly payroll for 260 employees. You will also be responsible for handling timecards for part-time employees and providing exceptional customer service by responding to multiple payroll-related inquiries. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in resolving any issues or errors that may arise. Any municipal/public education payroll experience is highly valued, but not required. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, strong ERP experience, and relevant industry experience. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual who can maintain accurate and timely payment of wages through direct deposit or check issuance.   • Process payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages through direct deposit or check issuance
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee information is maintained in the payroll system
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and regulations
  • Proficient in using payroll software such as ADP
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and account reconciliation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
