About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Associate Lead to join our team at Dollar General. As a Sales Associate Lead, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload trucks and receive merchandise according to company procedures
  • Stock merchandise, rotate and face products on shelves, and build displays
  • Assist customers with locating merchandise and provide excellent customer service
  • Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer purchases
  • Collect payment from customers and make change
  • Perform other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training)
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices
Working Conditions

Frequent walking and standing, frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, frequent handling of merchandise and equipment, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

This is a fast-paced environment with a moderate noise level. Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions and occasional or regular driving/providing own transportation to make bank deposits, attend management meetings, and travel to other Dollar General stores.
