Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavior Interventionist to join our team. As a Behavior Interventionist, you will play a critical role in implementing behavioral health treatments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. You will work closely with our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing 1:1 care and support to our clients in their homes, at our support centers, or in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 care and support to clients with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing established behavioral treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Collect data related to client progress during treatment sessions.
  • Incorporate activities and games that are developmentally appropriate and engaging for the client, in alignment with the treatment plan.
  • Promote client engagement to build their strengths in a natural and enjoyable manner.
  • Consult with case supervisors on treatment plans, client updates, and intervention strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing training, guidance, and support to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Follow program procedures, administrative tasks, direct therapy skills, and other duties as required.
  • Maintain reliable communication to record scheduled appointments and respond to phone calls within 24 hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Successfully complete Live Scan background check, employment verification, and TB screening.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs while assisting consumers.
  • Ability to run, bend, sit, and stand for long periods at a time.

  • Spanish bilingual required.
  • Empathy and compassion towards the families we support.
  • Maintains professional demeanor, boundaries, and composure.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and ability to implement existing behavioral plans.
  • Ability to connect with clients and families by adapting to their specific needs.
