Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at The Lee Group. As a key member of our converting department, you will be responsible for operating fiberboard slitting machines to convert large sheets into customer-specified sizes.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety First: Prioritize the safety of yourself, colleagues, and overall operations.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate fiberboard slitting machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Machine Setup: Perform machine setups, including adjusting settings and loading materials, to meet production requirements.
- Quality Control: Monitor machine operations and conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Troubleshooting: Address equipment issues and perform minor maintenance as needed to minimize production disruptions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to optimize production processes, share knowledge, and improve overall efficiency.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Documentation: Accurately complete production logs and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Training: Participate in training sessions to enhance machine operation skills and safety practices, ensuring continuous improvement and growth.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience operating industrial machinery, preferably in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to take precise measurements down to 1/16th of an inch.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work in environments with large temperature swings.
