Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Secure Property: Conduct regular patrols of all areas of the property, including parking lots, to ensure the safety and security of our guests and employees.
  • Secure Doors and Facilities: Lock and unlock facility doors, and secure the property during move-in/move-out, trade shows, conventions, or events.
  • Respond to Emergency Situations: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including incidents involving guests, employees, or contract labor.
  • Interact with the Public and Staff: Interact with the public, management, and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of all individuals on the premises, including guests, employees, and contract labor.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D.; some college preferred. 1 year security experience, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong customer service skills, good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, ability to work irregular hours, including night shifts, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Computer Skills: Some computer knowledge required.
  • Other Qualifications: Required to obtain TX. Noncommissioned security officer license upon hire, required to pass FBI fingerprinting background check, must be 18+ years old to apply.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk, and hear. This position will require a large amount of walking, climbing, stooping, and possibly heavy lifting. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. This position may be subjected to adverse conditions, including contact from hostile people.
