Meat Processing Specialist

The Meat Process Operator is a crucial role at Darling Ingredients Inc., where you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of PLC systems to control machinery. This involves monitoring pumps and grinders to guarantee quality assurance in accordance with our GMP program.

This position requires a reliable individual who can work effectively in a team environment, particularly during 3rd shift weekends, which may involve 12-hour shifts. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to working in various temperatures (100 degrees F to 45 degrees F) and handling odors associated with animal by-products.

• Maintain a safe and controlled work environment through adherence to safety protocols and regular cleanup procedures.
• Blow grease lines as required and conduct other tasks as assigned to ensure plant operations run smoothly.
• Document plant operations in accordance with our GMP program, providing accurate records for quality control purposes.
• Notify the shift manager promptly of any issues or maintenance problems that may impact production.
• Attend all safety meetings as scheduled.

• Prior experience working in a team environment and possessing excellent communication skills.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Capable of standing for extended periods, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.
