KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement electrical validation strategies for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and various subsystems in collaboration with the systems integration engineering team and technology divisions.
  • Create and monitor comprehensive testing plans for distinct modules and overarching systems. Validation scope encompasses System on Chip (SoC), low-speed signal interfaces (I2C, I2S), input/output signals, high-speed differential interfaces, and the electrical performance of subsystems such as optical sensors, microphones, cameras, batteries, chargers, and RF components.
  • Lead and carry out validation processes to achieve critical deadlines and objectives.
  • Manage the execution, analysis, and reporting of electrical validation progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain oversight of coverage metrics and document any issues encountered and resolved.
  • Assist in system initialization and troubleshooting activities.
  • Effectively communicate testing plans and results to stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical System Verification within the consumer electronics sector.
  • Proven experience in defining validation testing plans.
  • Demonstrated ownership of significant aspects of electrical validation processes.
  • Hands-on experience executing electrical validation in laboratory settings, with familiarity in using equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), electronic loads, power supplies, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and temperature chambers.
  • Proficient understanding of circuit schematics and layouts, with the ability to identify appropriate probing locations and potential failure points in the device under test (DUT).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, and LabView for data analysis and automation tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A self-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in board and system-level validation and debugging.
  • Familiarity with firmware verification processes.
  • Knowledge of system and subsystem power validation techniques.
  • Development experience in C#, Python, and LabView.
  • Proficiency with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Ethernet Network Analyzers (ENA), logic analyzers, signal analyzers, battery simulators, and data acquisition devices (DAQ).
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Essential Skills:

  • Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering: Knowledge of ADCs, operational amplifiers, noise management, and power regulation.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Engineering Testing Equipment: Proficient in using oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Basic Software Proficiency: Competent in scripting, shell commands, and device flashing.

Desirable Skills:

  • Data analysis and presentation capabilities.
  • Understanding of RF principles.
  • Software coding skills.
