The public cloud sector has been expanding rapidly in recent years. Enterprise users are accessing corporate applications from diverse locations. At times, this access may occur from non-enterprise devices. Certain industries are eager to enable employee access via personal devices (BYOD). There is an increasing demand for inventive engineers to create software that mitigates cyber threats within the cloud landscape. In this position, you will devise security measures to address real-world challenges and critical cybersecurity issues.

You are passionate about coding and developing outstanding products, bringing fresh ideas to all aspects of software engineering.

You possess a high level of technical expertise, understand browser internals, and have experience with browser engines such as Chromium, Webkit, or Firefox.

Your Contributions

- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, deployment, and support.

- Produce clean, testable, readable, scalable, and maintainable code that performs efficiently for a vast user base.

- Actively engage in and contribute to design and development discussions.

- Cultivate a robust understanding of browser internals and design principles, and effectively communicate these concepts to others.

Your Qualifications

- 5+ years of substantial experience in C++ with a solid foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design.

- Proficient in JavaScript.

- Experience with Chromium or any browser engine, or developing features on top of a browser.

- Familiarity with cache, cookies, HTTP/HTTPS, and other security protocols.

- Understanding of HTML5 and CSS.

- Knowledge of the V8 engine is advantageous.

- Familiarity with network protocols.

- Experience in a multi-threaded and multi-process environment.

- Deep comprehension of web development best practices (e.g., Performance, Memory, etc.).

- Proficient with Source Code Tools.

- Experience managing open-source projects.

- Experience handling extensive codebases spanning several GBs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with Golang applications is a plus.

- Experience in designing/building scalable microservices architectures and REST APIs is a plus.

- Experience in developing multithreaded concurrent systems.

- Knowledge of video/media streaming protocols.

- Understanding of RPC mechanisms.

- Experience with databases such as Neo4j, SQL, BigQuery, etc.

- Ability to debug and analyze complex issues.

- Experience as a Chromium/WebKit committer.

The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.

For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $170,000/yr to $275,000/yr.
