Job Description

SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician / Installation Supervisor with over 5 years of experience in commercial lighting maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. This role may require occasional travel.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Electrical Technician / Installation Supervisor should possess a strong background in electrical installations and troubleshooting related to lighting systems.

COMPENSATION: $75,000 per year

SUPPLEMENTAL PAY: Bonus opportunities available

JOB TYPE: Full-time

WORK LOCATION: Primarily based in a designated area with potential travel to various locations across the country

TRAVEL: 10% - 20% of the time

WORK SCHEDULE: Schedule may vary based on client needs and can include nights, weekends, and holidays.

JOB SKILLS:

  • Travel to client sites to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and specialty systems.
  • Strong understanding of current Electrical Code and Electrical Theory.
  • Ability to lead a team through complex electrical projects.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting project-related issues.
  • Execute electrical wiring plans for efficient lighting and other electrical systems.
  • Install electrical devices, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels).
  • Capable of bending pipe, pulling wire, and terminating connections.
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring component compatibility.
  • Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them.
  • Conduct routine inspections and replace outdated wiring and insulated cables to prevent system breakdowns.
  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged units.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus.
  • Ability to safely move or lift heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working with EMT, Rigid, and PVC pipe installation techniques.
  • Experienced with lighting systems and retrofit projects.
  • Comfortable handling power systems up to 480V.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Adhere to safety procedures set by the company and clients.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate scissor and boom lifts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Must provide legal documentation for employment verification.
  • Valid and clean driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Must own personal hand tools.
  • Availability for both day and night shifts.
  • Must be safety-conscious.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years as an electrician (required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid driver's license (required)
