Job Title: Journeyman Machinist

Tube Form Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Machinist to join our team. As a Journeyman Machinist, you will be responsible for producing tools and specialized parts used in manufacturing machines in a Tool & Die environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute the production of tools and specialized parts, ensuring high precision and quality.
  • Set up and operate machine tools, including conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe metal or plastic stock to lay out machining, using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers.
  • Select materials to be used from a range of metals and alloys, based on properties such as hardness and heat tolerances.
  • Perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and English.
  • A minimum of 4 years of combined experience and training similar to that required in a bonafide apprenticeship program, or five (5) years of documented experience.
  • Work in a Tool & Die environment, with all materials machined in metal.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating dies, tools, and assemblies.
  • Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications.
