Tube Form Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Machinist to join our team. As a Journeyman Machinist, you will be responsible for producing tools and specialized parts used in manufacturing machines in a Tool & Die environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute the production of tools and specialized parts, ensuring high precision and quality.
- Set up and operate machine tools, including conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
- Measure, mark, and scribe metal or plastic stock to lay out machining, using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers.
- Select materials to be used from a range of metals and alloys, based on properties such as hardness and heat tolerances.
- Perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and English.
- A minimum of 4 years of combined experience and training similar to that required in a bonafide apprenticeship program, or five (5) years of documented experience.
- Work in a Tool & Die environment, with all materials machined in metal.
- Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating dies, tools, and assemblies.
- Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications.
