Key Responsibilities- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer questions
- Follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Prepare radioactive drugs and administer them to patients
- Monitor patients to check for unusual reactions to the drugs
- Operate imaging equipment, including gamma cameras, probes, and wells
- Keep detailed records of procedures for inspections
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
- State Registered Radiologic Technician certification
- Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification
