Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist to join our team at Providence St. Joseph's Hospital. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely patient account reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain complex demographic, insurance, and medical information from patients and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain knowledge of numerous complex compliance requirements and insurance plans, adapting to frequent changes.
  • Work independently, multitasking, problem-solving, and exercising good time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service or healthcare registration experience
  • Preferred: Some college-level coursework in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance
  • Upon hire: National Certification of CHAA and Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)
