Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Global Partners. As a key member of our retail store operations, you will be responsible for leading our food service team and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage a team of food service personnel to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Select, onboard, and coach new team members to ensure a smooth transition and high performance.
  • Schedule team members to ensure adequate coverage and meet business needs.
  • Engage with customers through proactive communication, product knowledge, and exceptional service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Order and manage inventory of food and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels and merchandising standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food service items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees, snacks, and beverages.
  • Display food service items according to department and company merchandising guidelines.
  • Follow recipes and product preparation procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Rotate food service items to ensure freshness, quality, and safety.
  • Receive and process merchandise and supplies, including auditing invoices and breaking down orders.
  • Count and manage inventory to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
  • Process cash register transactions, handle customer refunds, and maintain a clean and organized sales area.
  • Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all team members use proper safety equipment and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Two years of prior experience in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a management role.
  • Flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts, and assist other locations as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Serv-Safe certification preferred.
  • Desire to learn new products and recipes.
  • A love of food and a creative nature.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills and ability to learn register, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals.
  • Ability to read and understand product labels, shelf signage, and company policies.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
