Position Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Manager on a significant project, serving as a Supervisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Logistics. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Integrated Product Support (IPS) for Navy Combat/Weapon Systems, which encompasses:
    • Product Support Management
    • Life Cycle Support Documentation
    • Technical Manuals Development
    • Provisioning Activities
    • Maintenance Planning Coordination
    • Configuration Management
    • Addressing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
    • Training Support Initiatives
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Inventory Control
    • Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM & A) Assessments
  • Collaborating with the Integrated Logistics Team to create logistics products and processes that align with operational objectives and readiness goals.
  • Managing the lifecycle of systems from design through to disposal.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable DoD, DoN, NAVSEA, and NSWC PHD instructions and procedures.
  • Tracking and reporting on current and future projects and assigned tasks.
  • Providing logistics support by leveraging a comprehensive background to accurately assess logistic product support and combat system readiness.
  • Directing the allocation of materials and supplies.
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gathering and addressing customer feedback and needs.
  • Reviewing logistical operations to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conducting onboarding meetings for new hires and mentoring junior staff.
  • Ensuring quality control of deliverables from junior and new team members.
  • Filling in for staff on extended leave as necessary.
  • Traveling as required to fleet concentration areas (up to 5% of time).
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Supervising a team of logistics professionals, including:
    • Monitoring Time and Attendance
    • Assisting with the onboarding process for new hires
    • Identifying and implementing performance enhancements
    • Conducting annual evaluations for direct reports
    • Collecting and documenting customer feedback
    • Approving travel expense reports
    • Tracking mandatory training compliance
Qualifications:

Required:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret level
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in logistics management and coordination
  • At least 2 years of experience in developing logistic program plans and budgets
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred:

  • Experience with US Navy Integrated Product Support initiatives
  • Familiarity with US NAVY Combat/Weapon Systems
  • Knowledge of Naval Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) and related systems
  • Experience in assessing program acquisition and sustainment strategies
  • Proficiency in technical documentation lifecycle management
  • Experience in developing various Logistic Program Management plans
  • Ability to utilize Integrated Development Environments (IDE) for logistics product development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with confidence in conducting briefings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
