Overview
The Senior Financial Strategist - Pharmacy Operations is responsible for driving financial management and oversight of pharmacy services within Intermountain Health. This role works closely with senior leadership teams, external stakeholders, and other departments to ensure the financial viability and sustainability of pharmacy operations.

About the Role
This position reports to the AVP Finance for Clinical Shared Services and is part of a high-performing team that drives business growth, revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency in pharmacy operations.

Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures for pharmacy operations in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for pharmacy operations and provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to portfolio leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to financial reporting, auditing, taxation, reimbursement, and contracting for pharmacy operations.
- Manage and optimize the revenue cycle, cost structure, and cash flow of pharmacy operations, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Directly supervise, coach, and mentor other professionals and staff involved in the financial process, utilizing effective leadership skills to remove barriers to productivity and effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including accounting, payer contracting, vendors, auditors, regulators, and community partners, representing pharmacy operations in financial negotiations and transactions.
- Support strategic planning, business development, and quality improvement initiatives for pharmacy operations, providing financial input and guidance for decision-making and problem-solving.

Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or healthcare administration from an accredited institution (Master's preferred).
- CPA certification preferred.
- PharmD or pharmacy technician training preferred.
- Progressive experience in financial management, planning, and analysis in a large and complex healthcare organization.
- Extensive experience and success in developing and leading a high-performing team.
- Expertise in financial analysis.

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $66.41 - $102.52 per hour, dependent on experience. Intermountain Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and wellness programs.
