Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Northeast. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Role

The Critical Care Nurse Specialist will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. This includes assessing patient conditions during admission and each shift, identifying changes in patient status, and reporting them promptly. You will also perform procedures as ordered by medical providers, document administration of care in patient medical records, administer prescribed medications, and monitor patient responses.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have basic cardiac life support certification within 30 days of employment, ACLS certification, a registered nurse license from Texas or a compact state, and a registered nurse diploma, bachelor's degree, or associate degree. Additionally, we require 1-2 years of experience in cardiovascular telemetry/cardiac nursing.
