Job Summary:

Gpac is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our team. As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate and complete job estimates for commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project estimates, including labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Review and take-off of blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Gather subcontractor pricing and conduct scope review to ensure compliance with bid documents and plans.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure that the full scope of work was considered.
  • Calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
  • Collaborate with clients to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate material/finishes, and building methods.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a working knowledge of commercial construction documentation and pricing.
  • BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects required.
  • 1+ years of experience estimating all trades of commercial projects required.
  • Needs full comprehension of drawings.
  • Proficient with computers, tablets, and software, including typing skills.
  • Willingness to work necessary hours to ensure all project estimating needs are being met.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with RFIs, Change orders, is highly preferred.
