Theatre Instructor

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is committed to providing quality education and fostering a diverse community. We are seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in Theatre.

Job Summary:

We are looking for experienced Theatre professionals to teach courses such as Intro to Theatre and Playwriting. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Theatre and possess knowledge of theatre techniques, as well as the ability to work with directors, actors, stage techs, and playwrights.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Theatre courses, including Intro to Theatre and Playwriting
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve teaching practices

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Theatre
• Knowledge of theatre techniques and practices
• Ability to work with diverse groups of students and colleagues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
