Option Care Health is seeking a skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications and supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
- Prepare medications for accurate compounding.
- Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
- Accurately label and package medications.
- Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
- Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
- Inspect equipment and document any equipment failures or defects.
- Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
- Able to perform basic and intermediate-level mathematical calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
