The current opening at RMA's office in Sun Valley, CA, is for the position of Office Manager/Senior Geotechnical Engineer, or a similarly qualified professional. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing RMA's capacity to provide expert analyses, guidance, and solutions in geological and environmental engineering, construction materials testing and inspection, as well as stormwater management services for a broad spectrum of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Department and Project Managers to ensure profitability aligns with budgetary goals.
  • Provide strategic direction for operations and conduct market analysis.
  • Mentor management staff and promote leadership development within the team.
  • Expand service offerings in accordance with RMA's established standards.
  • Assess and address organizational strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with other offices to identify synergies and broaden the client base.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Ensure timely responses to proposals and effective management of staff.

Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in business operations management.
  • A degree in Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
  • California PE certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated history of business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to efficiently meet client requirements.
  • Experience in managing multiple service lines.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Capability to perform effectively in challenging environments.

Working Environment:

  • Ability to perform tasks under pressure while adhering to safety standards.
  • Physical demands may include occasional lifting and data interpretation.
  • Strong emphasis on safety in both office and field environments.
