Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our construction team at Jennings Air & Mechanical in Charleston, SC. As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing and modifying sheet metal ductwork to ensure optimal HVAC system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze blueprints to determine the layout and installation of sheet metal ductwork.
  • Install various types of ductwork, including TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock.
  • Perform modifications, cuts, miters, transitions, and repairs to ensure optimal HVAC system performance.
  • Work efficiently to optimize HVAC system installations for maximum performance.
  • Maintain reliability and punctuality on all job sites.

Requirements:

  • Experience with blueprint reading, sketches, and product specifications.
  • Skilled in the removal and installation of HVAC duct systems.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately and work well within a team.
  • Clean background check is a must.
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are open to training the right candidate.
