EMT - Emergency Medical Technician (On-Call) Specialist

As a key member of the Chickasaw Nation Industries Inc. team, the EMT - Emergency Medical Technician (On-Call) Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Aerospace Medical Research Division, Environmental Physiology Division (AAM-631). This position is responsible for providing EMT support for the Optimized Flow Oxygen System research project, which involves on-site experimental sessions at pressure altitudes. The specialist will act as a medical monitor for subject care, assess patient conditions, and provide necessary medical treatment. This is an on-call position with day-shift hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend hypobaric research events from start to finish.
- Respond to emergencies and provide medical care to research subjects inside hypobaric chambers.
- Assess patient conditions and provide necessary treatment, including administering CPR and stabilizing patients.
- Safely transport patients to the hospital while providing ongoing medical care.
- Communicate with medical personnel at the hospital to provide reports on patient conditions and treatment provided.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to patient care.
Requirements:
- Valid Oklahoma EMT certification.
- Completed accredited EMT training program.
- Valid State/Federal ID with picture.
- Ability to speak English fluently.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily performed in various environments, including ambulances, homes, and public places.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment and assist patients.
- May be exposed to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
