Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of ultrasound exams, including proper patient preparation and positioning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Provide excellent patient communication and education, ensuring patients understand their procedures and results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in ultrasound imaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, attending training and education programs as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field preferred.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification in CT or ultrasound required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist, with a strong background in diagnostic imaging and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods of time, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
  • 2+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist.
