We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior System Safety Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO. As a key member of our Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products throughout their entire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
  • Perform system safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses
  • Brief safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process
  • Interpret system requirements, customer specifications, and military standards
  • Prepare internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Safety Engineering experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret level security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DoD System Safety Programs, e.g., MIL-STD-882
  • Experience with system and software safety implementation in Agile Development environment
  • Experience interfacing with Human Systems Integration, showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving MIL-STD-1472
