Mechanical Superintendent

Job Summary:

The Mechanical / Plumbing Superintendent will provide on-site administrative oversight and technical management of field-related construction activities for high-voltage electric substation construction EPC projects. This role requires directing construction and repair operations, supervising various systems, preparing cost estimates, training staff, and implementing safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Directing construction and repair operations, supervising the activities of various systems, preparing cost estimates for various projects, training staff, and implementing safety standards.
• Maintaining and repairing plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems.
• Inspecting high-pressure, air, steam, water, and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions, repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures, testing joints and pipe systems.
• Ensuring all on-site personnel comply with safety procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, documenting all violations, notifying project management, and recommending corrective actions as required.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree such as Bachelor's and University Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Technical, Construction, Education, Mechanical Engineering, Education and Training, Supervision, Industrial, Science.
• Desired experience for mechanical superintendent includes 5+ years of experience in industrial construction and/or manufacturing.
• Supervising mechanical installation activities related to pressure vessels, towers, and tanks, heat exchangers, rotating equipment, and mineral processing equipment such as ball mills, material handling equipment such as belt conveyors.
• Experience in a management role over Electrical and Controls subcontractors on industrial facility projects required.
