Licensed Practical Nurse / Family Medicine
Schedule: Full Time 8:30am-5:30pm
Location: Emory Family Medicine Dunwoody
We are in search of a proficient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with extensive experience in patient care and a solid understanding of the specific needs of a diverse patient demographic.
- Provide both direct and indirect nursing care to patients and their families in standard nursing scenarios under the guidance and oversight of a registered nurse or licensed practitioner.
- Support physicians and registered nurses in ensuring patient comfort, care, and treatment.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations.
- Monitor and document patients' conditions and progress.
- In complex situations where patients are unstable or require urgent care, the LPN operates under the direct supervision of the RN or licensed practitioner.
- Conduct daily assessments of medical supplies and equipment; maintain examination and treatment areas in accordance with infection control protocols and clinic standards, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
- Record and document patient vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, and blood pressure; gather patient measurements such as height, weight, and pain levels in the electronic medical record.
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
- Licensure/Certification: Must be currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Georgia. Current BLS certification is mandatory.
