Job Title: Security Control Assessor

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a highly skilled Security Control Assessor to support our government customer in Washington, DC. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls to determine their effectiveness.
  • Perform risk management framework (RMF) assessments of information systems.
  • Conduct security testing and control assessments on federal applications and general support systems.
  • Evaluate authorization packages and make recommendations.
  • Review and compile security control implementations, test results, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assess security configurations and implementation of major applications and general support systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of SCA experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in determining security system resilience and dependability capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in discerning information system protection needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and national/international laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum required certifications: IAM II.
Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment with a moderate noise level. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The workload may require sitting for extended periods. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
