About the Role

To support U.S. Urology by performing diagnostic imaging examinations, such as x-rays, on patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Precisely follow orders from physicians on what areas of the body to image.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including taking a medical history and answering questions about the procedure.
  • Guide patients through the process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Protect the patient by shielding exposed areas that do not need to be imaged.
  • Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures.
  • Operate the computerized equipment to take the images.
  • Work with physicians to evaluate the images and to determine whether additional images need to be taken.
  • Keep detailed patient records.
  • Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Monitor patient's wellbeing during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.
  • Examines radiology film for properties such as density and contracts, definition, magnification and distortion.
  • Maintains examinations rooms, and stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies.
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment.
  • Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Willing to travel to other locations for business needs.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs related work as required.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience working in a medical practice as an imaging tech.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Electronic Medical Records Experience.
