We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at Resorts World New York. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food in our kitchen stations and outlets, as well as banquets and parties during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare, season, and garnish all food to meet company specifications and standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain all refrigeration and dry storage areas to ensure proper handling and rotation of products.
- Recipe Execution: Follow all recipes, specs, and control procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with health regulations.
- Guest Service: Assist with guest requests when needed and report any mishaps in the kitchen.
- Safety and Security: Apply safety standards and look after the stock of the kitchen, informing the head chef when stock runs out.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of the menu thoroughly and ensure the quality of the food produced throughout the service period.
- Age and Education: Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience: Two (2) year experience as a cook in a customer service or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Licensing: Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission.
