Job Title: RN Interventional Radiology

Amergis is seeking a skilled RN Interventional Radiology to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians with medical imaging procedures.

Job Summary:

The RN Interventional Radiology will work closely with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care and perform procedures in all modalities of imaging services (CT, MRI, IR, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and Nuclear Medicine)
  • Initiate IV access or assess the patency of IV access prior to the administration of contrast media or other intravenous medications or blood products
  • Obtain and administer medications as ordered by the physician
  • Recognize emergency situations and participate in treatment interventions, including contrast reactions with all modalities of imaging services
  • Ensure that emergency supplies are current and replaced as needed
  • Monitor Critical Care and Emergency Department prior to patient transport
  • Accurately document patient assessment and nursing interventions for patients receiving conscious sedation
  • Consult with physicians and radiologists regarding abnormal lab results
  • Set up and maintain sterile trays and other equipment
  • Pass instruments and supplies to radiologist practicing sterile technique
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
  • One year experience in Interventional Radiology preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
