We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers.

• Process Prescription Requests: Accurately process prescription requests while building trusted relationships with customers and demonstrating empathy and care.
• Troubleshoot Insurance Claims: Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for customers.
• Follow Department Processes: Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information.
• Ensure Department Efficiency: Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining inventory levels, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies.
• Handle Products and Equipment: Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices.

• Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills and ability to perform mathematical computations to fill prescriptions accurately.
• State-Specific Requirements: May require Pharmacy Technician certification or state registration.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience in a pharmacy setting.

• Inventory Management: Experience ordering products and controlling inventory.
• Pharmacy Experience: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related field.
• Certification: Pharmacy Technician certification or state registration.
