Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Granville Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support services.

About the Role:
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to perform various tasks related to unit operations. This includes coordinating activities at the nursing station, communicating with physicians and nurses, and relaying pertinent information in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for scheduling x-rays, lab tests, surgeries, and other medical procedures as ordered by physicians. Additionally, you will process information on our health information system and assist patients with activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities at the nursing station
- Communicate with physicians and nurses
- Relay pertinent information in a timely manner
- Schedule x-rays, lab tests, surgeries, and other medical procedures

Requirements:
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work under the direction of a licensed nurse
- Certification by state certified nursing assistant program as a Nurse Aide I and current registration with the North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant Registry
- BLS certification
- Excellent communication and writing skills

Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year
