Phlebotomy Specialist

At LCMC Health, we're looking for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

• Perform venipuncture and skin puncture in accordance with standard procedures.
• Use handheld devices for specimen collection.
• Monitor collection lists and document the status of outstanding collections.
• Ensure that STAT specimens are delivered to the Lab within 15 minutes of collection or pick up.
• Communicate complaints or problems to department supervisors.
• Collect data for quality assurance programs and maintain thorough documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of standard phlebotomy techniques and blood processing procedures.
• Maintain a safe environment for everyone.

• High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of applicable experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
