Position Overview:

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse is responsible for the comprehensive observation, assessment, intervention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and health education of individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This role is pivotal in maintaining health, preventing illness, and administering prescribed medications or treatments as directed by a physician.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and evaluate nursing practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement delegated medical acts and develop tailored nursing care plans.
  • Engage in effective communication with patients and their families to ensure understanding and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license from the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Adult Behavioral Health or Psychiatric settings.

  • National Certification recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.
