Cedarhurst Senior Living, a prominent provider in the healthcare sector dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults, is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the daily experiences of our residents within our community.

As a Housekeeper, your contributions will include: -

  • Executing comprehensive cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and managing laundry services.
  • Adhering to a cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) for designated areas including resident living spaces, communal areas, restrooms, and administrative offices, which will require physical capabilities such as lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Collecting and laundering soiled linens in compliance with health and hygiene standards, along with sorting, folding, and distributing clean laundry.
  • Communicating supply and equipment needs to the Supervisor and ensuring timely restocking of necessary items.
  • Collaborating with maintenance staff to report any repairs needed during your shift.
To qualify for the Housekeeper position, you should possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for serving older adults.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively, as well as the initiative to exceed resident expectations.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as required.
  • The physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including seeing, speaking, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching, and the capacity to lift/move up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
