Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled RDK Video Middleware Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of experience with RDK, C++ embedded programming, and Linux application development.

Responsibilities
  • Testing and Development: Test device engineering for STB SMARTTV OTT devices specific initiatives for RDK Video middleware for media graphic connectivity functional use cases with integration of backend for UI UX Content protection and security DBR and other VAS features.
  • Embedded Environment Expertise: Excellent testing knowledge in multitasking embedded environment, Linux application development, and POSIX standards. Develop and monitor devices using DOCSIS.
  • Network Connectivity: Familiarity with passive optical network, satellite network, WAN, WiFi, MOCA for LAN is a must.
  • Video Software Stack: Deep understanding of low-level video software stack.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RDK Experience: Strong experience on RDK video stack, Set Top Box software stack, CWMP TR69 and TR135 protocols, and Digital Video Broadcast DVB specs-based product lines.
  • Linux Open Source Frameworks: Familiarity with Yocto media framework, Gstreamer, Graphics Direct-FB Device Drivers, USB, network netdevice, and file system for Broadcom STM Intel Qualcomm based SOC platform for RDK.
Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays and time off, 401(k) plan, long-term/short-term disability, paid parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plans. The estimated total compensation package is $90,000-$150,000 per year.
