As a Clinical Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for enhancing clinical practices through the design, development, and implementation of educational programs for clinical staff. This includes evaluating program effectiveness and providing guidance to staff and leadership in Critical Care.
You will facilitate the assessment and identification of ongoing educational needs for staff development initiatives. Your expertise in the teaching and learning process will assist management and clinical personnel in creating impactful educational experiences.Utilizing assessment tools, you will identify learning needs and collaborate with nurse managers, clinical educators, and quality coordinators to plan relevant learning activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting needs assessments in partnership with management and nursing staff to determine educational requirements.
- Evaluating critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and technical competencies of staff to tailor orientation and development programs.
- Communicating effectively with staff to support their clinical, management, and research skill development.
- Consulting with management to establish a robust preceptor and mentorship program.
- Developing and revising educational programs and materials aimed at improving patient outcomes.
- Leading quality enhancement initiatives by monitoring and assessing educational offerings.
- Integrating research findings into clinical practice and educational frameworks.
- Supporting unit-based research projects to advance nursing knowledge.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical education experience
- Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows-based software
