Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead the BZ Beyond after-school program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the program aligns with our school's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development & Implementation

  • Collaborate with the Director of Student Life to ensure the program supports the school's philosophy and goals.
  • Execute and manage the daily operations of the BZ Beyond program, including arrival and dismissal procedures, transitions to and from activities, and observing and providing feedback to daily staff.
  • Manage the purchasing process for supplies and snacks, maintaining proper inventories to support the program.
  • Support the student experience by responding to emergent behavioral concerns and collaborating with teachers and parents.
  • Coordinate with the BZ Nurse to manage the oversight of any allergies or other health-related needs to ensure a safe environment.
  • Oversee the daily operations of day-off camps.
  • Maintain and secure equipment, materials, and supplies as appropriate.

Supervision

  • Supervise and evaluate the BZ Beyond's daily programs staff.
  • Supervise and evaluate vendors and instructors for BZ Beyond's enrichment classes.
  • Provide occasional direct service with students in programs to maintain appropriate staffing ratios with children of different developmental ages.
  • Assess and evaluate programs and instructors, regularly soliciting formal and informal feedback from all constituents.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Respond promptly and effectively to student or parent questions or concerns and staff and vendor needs.
  • Communicate with parents and caretakers regularly and proactively, providing top-notch customer service.
  • Collaborate with Bernard Zell's Director or Student Life on the well-being of students after school.
  • Ensure a strong customer service approach to all aspects of BZ student activities, building raving fans.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in education or a related field.

Experience:

Experience working with children and families, preferably in a non-profit child-centered setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, ability to work well on a team, customer-service oriented, proficiency with technology, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
