The Physical Therapist Assistant plays a vital role in the rehabilitation process at Columbia Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients, families, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in the treatment and documentation of patients, ensuring accurate and timely records.
- Supervise and train Rehabilitation Aides to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on rehabilitation techniques and strategies.
Requirements:
- Valid state license or temporary permit as a Physical Therapist Assistant, issued by the Oregon State Physical Therapy Licensing Board.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited school.
Work Environment:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Columbia Memorial Hospital, you will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional stress. You must be capable of providing treatments that require strength and be aware of proper body mechanics at all times.
