Job Title: Construction Monitor

Join the City of Toledo's team as a Construction Monitor, responsible for ensuring the successful completion of infrastructure projects. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the city's roadways, bridges, and other critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Monitor the quality of work performed by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project completion.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project status, including daily work performed, workforce, and equipment usage.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Two years of experience in roadway or bridge construction, with one year of physical inspection experience.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
