Job Title: Pathway Dean

Job Summary:

The Pathway Dean will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for designated programs and disciplines within the assigned career pathway. This role will ensure consistency, currency, and excellence across all locations where assigned programs and disciplines are offered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curricula, courses, and programs that meet the needs of the constituencies served by the college.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to faculty and staff in the development and implementation of academic programs.
  • Oversee the evaluation of programs and courses for currency, relevancy, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and build relationships with employers, community agencies, and educational institutions to foster job placements and enhance program accreditation standing.
  • Develop and manage budgets, including cost-benefit analyses and forecasts of academic program demands.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree required, preferably in a field related to one of the programs and disciplines in the assigned career pathway.
  • Formal collegiate teaching experience required, with community college experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in an academic setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the comprehensive mission of community colleges.

The college has grown from one campus to a regional educational and economic force, with four campuses, seven regional centers, and two cultural institutions.
