Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software applications using Scrum methodology.
  • Participate in establishing a robust, scalable, and flexible technology architecture and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain software applications using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Work with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers to refine product requirements and deliver products built to commercial-grade requirements.
  • Estimate and size development efforts to assist with planning and deliver working software on schedule.
  • Support company-wide software engineering standards and optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, dependability, and ease of development.
  • Provide expert-level software programming, design, analysis, and mentoring.
  • Embrace test-driven development practices using JUnit, JMock, and Selenium.
  • Build Java programs that execute in a high-availability, high-throughput batch environment.
  • Collaborate with external business partners to build and customize software solutions.
  • Actively engage with technical professionals at client organizations to explain how to make our products work together.
  • Coach and mentor associate-level engineers and be a technical lead on the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field of study + five (5) years of relevant work experience interacting with RESTful/SOAP web services, AJAX, Core Java, JDBC, JMS, JSON, JUNIT, Apache, JavaScript, SQL, application server technology, and framework/technologies.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or closely related field of study + two (2) years of relevant work experience interacting with RESTful/SOAP web services, AJAX, Core Java, JDBC, JMS, JSON, JUNIT, Apache, JavaScript, SQL, application server technology, and framework/technologies.
  • Must pass technical interview.
