COMPENSATION
At Shaw's Garage, we recognize your expertise and offer a competitive pay scale ranging from $20 - $40 per hour, based on your qualifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Snow Equipment Service Technician, your daily tasks will include inspecting and diagnosing various snow equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery, including snow plows, salt spreaders, hydraulic lifts, and emergency lighting systems, are functioning optimally. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you will troubleshoot issues, carry out repairs, install new machinery, and equip vehicles with the necessary winter accessories. Each day presents unique challenges and the rewarding feeling of knowing your contributions help keep the community safe during severe winter weather.
SCHEDULE
Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with opportunities for overtime and occasional Saturday shifts depending on workload.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical repair
- Proficient in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing snow-related machinery
- Familiarity with brands such as Fisher or Western
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to provide basic tools and meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting heavy items, walking, pushing, and standing for extended periods
