GED Instructor

Job Summary:

The GED Instructor provides educational support to students preparing for the GED test, focusing on basic academic skills in reading, writing, and math. This role involves teaching face-to-face and online classes through Blackboard, administering and scoring TABE and GED practice tests, and counseling students. Additionally, the instructor is responsible for maintaining student records, reporting data, and recruiting for the adult education program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach GED preparation classes to adult students
• Administer and score TABE and GED practice tests
• Counsel students on academic progress and goals
• Maintain accurate student records and report data
• Recruit and promote the adult education program

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Three years of experience teaching in higher education adult education
• Blackboard training or equivalent online teaching experience

Benefits:

• $ per hour
• Not to exceed 19 hours per week
