About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Outdefine. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the data layer and notification layers of our system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain the data layer and notification layers, working closely with our full-stack engineers and senior frontend engineers to integrate the API layer and crawler.
  2. Design and implement algorithms for event subscription and querying.
  3. Design and implement alert delivery mechanisms.
  4. Monitor system performance and maintain uptime.
  5. Develop features and maintain software according to customer needs.
  6. Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the system is stable, secure, and meets customer requirements.
  7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Required Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Experience with event-driven architectures and event subscription.
  2. Familiarity with IBC and CosmWasm.
  3. Experience in creating full-stack SDK applications.
  4. Cosmos and EVM experience is a plus.
  5. A working understanding of blockchains and smart contracts, as well as a high-level view of L1 technology.
  6. Passion for blockchain and a belief in its potential to transform the financial world.
  7. Ability to thrive in a startup environment and work effectively in a small, cross-functional team.
  8. Entrepreneurial and customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Skills

The following skills are highly desirable:

  1. Experience with data lakes and Hadoop.
  2. Proficiency in Node and software development.
  3. Knowledge of blockchain ecosystems.
