Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Outpatient Rehabilitation Specialist include:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations and formulating tailored treatment plans that evolve with patient needs.
  • Educating patients and their families in an accessible manner, ensuring proper discharge planning when skilled therapeutic care is no longer necessary.
  • Engaging in departmental initiatives and maintaining effective communication with all rehabilitation team members.
  • Promoting professional development and enhancing overall departmental performance.
  • Executing additional professional duties related to patient care, development of therapy services, and program delivery design.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/Registration is mandatory to commence employment.
  • Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred; however, entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
