Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at ABC Sheet Metal. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for efficiently completing MasterCam programming, setups, and production on CNC 3 and 5 axis Mills and Lathes.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC machine set-up and operation, with proficiency in MasterCAM X7 or higher and Solidworks 2013 or higher. You will be responsible for maintaining part quality, setup, and production run quantities, as well as troubleshooting and making manual adjustments to keep parts within specific tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program Haas vertical milling machines and Lathes
  • Use and program Renishaw probe system on Haas milling machines
  • Work from prints, 3D CAD models, and setup sheets performing multiple operations to manufacture quality parts
  • Inspect finished parts to +/- .001 ensuring company quality standards are kept
  • Use various tools such as micrometers, calibers, and edge finders
  • Troubleshoot and make manual adjustments to keep parts within specific tolerances

Requirements:

  • 3 plus years' experience minimum
  • Proficient in MasterCAM X7 or higher
  • Proficient in Solidworks 2013 or higher
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean workstation
  • Ability to perform more than one task in the shop
  • Self-sufficient and a team player
