Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our Culinary team at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts for our food and beverage outlets.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards.
- Stock, maintain, and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product.
- Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, with the guidance of the Pastry Chef.
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local, and company regulations.
- Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications.
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items.
- At least 2 years of experience in the pastry making industry preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques and methods.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Riverside County Food Handlers License.
- Schedule availability to work weekends and holidays.
